The Bascome Series
This project features three reimagined book covers for Richard Ford’s Frank Bascombe series, translating key narrative themes into a cohesive visual system built around recurring American holiday motifs. Inspired by mid-century designers like Paul Rand and Ivan Chermayeff, the designs use an eclectic collage style with symbolic objects to contrast Frank’s subdued emotional state against his inner disarray, isolation, and search for stability.
